Why Hire a Menopause Coach?

Perimenopause and menopause can be a confusing and challenging time. Your body doesn’t feel like it belongs to you anymore. Your usual diet and exercise routines don’t seem to be working like they used to. Your sleep is suffering, your joints are aching, your brain fog is making everyday tasks more difficult.

You don’t have to suffer through this stage of life! I can help you integrate evidence-based lifestyle modifications to improve your quality of life. Through nutrition changes, exercise, sleep hygiene, stress management & more, we can work together to help you feel your best.

Hi, I'm Julie!

I’m an Occupational Therapist working in adult inpatient rehabilitation for over 20 years. At 42, I underwent a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis. I was reassured by my doctor that since my ovaries were intact, my hormones would not be affected. Very soon after surgery I started to notice brain fog, weight gain, difficulty sleeping, dry skin and mysterious rashes. After several requests, bloodwork was finally ordered that confirmed I was post-menopausal. I began reading everything I could on menopause and researching ways to feel better. I started HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and found relief of some symptoms but needed to make other lifestyle changes in order to start feeling like myself again. I decided I wanted to help other women navigate this stage of life and received my Women’s Health Certification and became a Certified Menopause Coach. I am passionate about helping women feel their best in their menopausal years!

Personalized Menopause Coaching

During your initial consultation we will review your medical history, your menopause symptoms, and current diet and exercise routines. Coaching sessions can be virtual or in-person if you are local to Philadelphia.

Next, we'll work together to implement lifestyle changes to help you start feeling your best. I will develop a personalized workout plan for you with an emphasis on resistance training for beginner to advanced lifter. We can tackle nutrition changes, sleep hygiene, stress management and more! If desired, I can educate you on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and help prepare you for a conversation with your doctor to advocate for yourself. Making lifestyle changes is hard. Having a coach to help keep you motivated and accountable can make all the difference! You don’t have to do this alone.

Together, we'll develop a plan that works for you. We will set goals and have weekly calls to discuss your progress. We will gradually implement changes so they don’t feel overwhelming, and we will work at your pace! We can work together for as long or as short as you would like, but I recommend a minimum of 3 months to really see the benefits of the changes you are making.
